REV. GEORGE JEYARAJASINGHAM

As a ethodist pastor, he was attached to Murunkan. He had the interest of the ordinary people at heart and worked closely with the community of Murunkan. He was a Tamil Human Right activist. He was engaged in social and pastoral work with the victims of the many disappearances and killing which were taking place in that area. 

He and threee others were shot dead on Decmber 13, 1984 when they were travelling in his vehicel. Later their bodies were burnt along with his vehicel. Reve Fr. Mary Bastian collected the remains of victiums including Reverned Jeyarajasingham and haneded them over to the Jeevothayam Methodist Center.
